Best Lesbian Hair styles

Lesbians are known for experimenting with different hairstyles and haircuts. In fact, if you think about your local group of lesbian friends there is going to be at least one who has a bold choice of hairstyle/color or cut. The freedom of cutting all your hair off or shaving in an undercut is something most young lesbians will do at some stage in their life. Here are some of our favorite lesbian haircuts & styles that range from the lesbian next door through to Fuck the patriarchy.

1. The Pixie Hair Cut
A short pixie haircut is a popular choice for femme and butch lesbians alike. Who doesn’t love this sophisticated look? Usually, this will suit an oval-faced gal.

2. Mohawk/Faux Hawk
A Faux Hawk is a derivative of the more well-known Mohawk. The difference is that the underside of the head is not shaved so it is a nice variation on the classic mohawk.

3. Undercut
Undercuts are making a comeback. You can shave the back, the whole under section of your hair or just one side. Whatever way you like it, undercut’s are a classic choice for our lesbian sisters. If you haven’t had an under cut at least once in your life are you even really a lesbian?

4. Shaved Head
If Kristen can pull it off, you can too. At least that is what I like to tell myself?

5. Sleek Short Cut
You may need some gel to keep this hairstyle under control. But there is no doubt about how much we love this short, slick, sleek hair cut on another woman.

6. Dyke Mullet
Now to be fair, this hairstyle is not actually called a “Dyke Mullet”, that is just what I call it. This style was big back in the 2010’s, I am sure you will remember. It takes a woman with a certain edginess to be able to pull this hair cut off.

7. Soft Curls
Keep it easy and breezy with this hair. If you have hair privilege and are able to style your hair like this, it will always be a winning hairstyle..In my opinion anyway.

8. Long Bob
Could anyone make a long bob hairstyle look more glamorous than Sarah Paulson? I don’t think so. This cut is so elegant and classy whilst also screaming I know how to change a tyre.

9. The Shane Hairstyle
To be honest, I am not sure what the technical name of this hairstyle is but I do know I love it. It is sort of like a cross between the dyke mullet and a long messy bob. No wonder no woman could resist her charms back in the day.

10. Side Swept
This hair might be a little glamorous for the day-to-day gal but certainly a good contender for hitting up the dyke night at your local gay bar on a weekend.

11. Braids
Braids are beautiful and practical, keeping the hair out of your face while you are at work, school, gym etc. Lesbians are a pragmatic bunch so braids are a keeper.

12. Long with Shaved Sides
The big sister to the undercut except the shaving is a little bit more pronounced with this hairstyle. The best thing about it is keeping your head and neck cool in summer.

13. Spikey
This cut is low maintenance and still looks good. There is a reason why gay girls love short haircuts.

15. Wild Colours
Forget the rainbow flag!? What about rainbow hair? Now, this is certainly something that I could not pull off but that doesn’t mean I don’t love it.

16. Touseled
Touseled hair needs to look messy, windblown and maybe even unkempt except the difference is you need to spend time in the morning making it look that way… But if it looks like this it is probably worth it.

17. Crew Cut
No this picture below is not the same person in case you thought that at first glance. It is two supposed bisexuals….who seem to have only married and dated men? (No biphobia just asking a question? Can someone let me know?) Either way, I don’t care if they have crew cuts and husbands they can come knock on my door any time.

18. Bangs

Bangs, fringe, whatever you want to call it…it’s not dead. I love this hairstyle and think that it is cute and versatile.
